Mark Beeston
Mark Beeston is the Managing Partner and Founder of Illuminate Financial. Mark launched the firm in 2014 after more than 20 years in capital markets, with experience spanning the buy side of fintech as well as building, operating, and backing early-stage businesses.
Before Illuminate, Mark served on the Executive Committee at ICAP, leading the Post Trade Risk and Information business and helping establish the group’s investment capability. Earlier, he was on the Executive Committee of Creditex Group and led its credit derivatives trade processing platform through its acquisition by ICE in 2008. He began his career at Deutsche Bank, spending 13 years across fixed income trading leadership and COO roles.
He’s especially excited by the number of once in a generation changes that are hitting institutional financial markets at the same time and catalysing ever faster change: digital assets, AI, the wealth transition, modern CFO stack and more.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys indulging his passion for cars and Formula One, spending time with his family or pottering in his garage.
