Konstantin Koenig is a Principal at Illuminate Financial, where he focuses on investing in Seed to Series B fintech and enterprise software companies.

With over 10 years of experience across tech investing and advisory, he has worked with leading global technology companies from early stage to IPO, giving him a unique perspective on scaling companies across stages, geographies, and regulated markets.

Previously, Konstantin was a Principal at Frog Capital, where he led growth-stage investments into European software companies, including Modulr, and served as a Board Director for Genasys Technologies and Oxford Medical Simulation. Before that, he spent half a decade in investment banking at Financial Technology Partners, advising leading fintech companies on M&A, leveraged buyouts, and growth equity financings.

He is particularly interested in the intersection of AI and services, companies that move beyond software tools to deliver outcomes directly, as well as next-generation financial infrastructure, including payments, and the evolving CFO stack.

Outside of work, you’ll find him travelling with his wife, often planning trips around food, and then making the most of ClassPass to work it off.
