Andrew is Chief Financial Officer at Illuminate, where he oversees the firm’s finance, compliance and operations functions, supporting its continued growth and development.

With over a decade of experience across financial management, audit and investment operations, he combines technical expertise with strategic oversight. This experience gives him a strong perspective on fund structuring, regulatory governance and the financial architecture required to scale venture platforms effectively.

He trained as a Chartered Accountant in Deloitte’s Entrepreneurial Business Team, advising high-growth companies and investment funds. He later joined Octopus Investments as Group Finance Manager, working across multiple business lines within a rapidly expanding platform, before joining Illuminate in 2017 to lead the firm’s finance function.

He holds a first-class Bachelor’s degree from Oxford Brookes University and a Master’s degree with distinction from the University of Exeter.

He is particularly interested in how emerging technologies and data-driven tools can enhance transparency, insight and decision-making within modern investment platforms.

Outside of work, he enjoys family life in London and following the fortunes of Arsenal Football Club.
