Alex Gheorghe

Alex joined Illuminate in May 2023 as an MBA Associate Intern, based out of the New York office. Prior to Illuminate, Alex worked across both investor and operator roles at Jump Capital and Sardine, while pursuing her MBA at the Kellogg School of Management.

Prior to business school, Alex spent time at Barclays across their Corporate Finance and Innovation teams. As the FinTech Platform Manager for Rise, created by Barclays, she oversaw the Americas strategy for working with early stage fintech companies.

Alex holds a B.S.B.A in Finance and Economics from the University of Miami. Outside of work, Alex likes to spend her time outdoors. She is an avid skier and recently learned to play tennis, pickleball, and all other forms of racquet sports.
